Sweat is actually a natural process of the body due to several things, such as hot weather, exercise, illness, stress, situations that make nervous, and so forth. Actually, the sweaty nose is not something to worry about, because after all the sweat can come out in any part of the body. The amount and location of sweat produced in each person’s body are not always the same. Take, for example, there are people who can sweat a normal amount, or don’t even sweat at all. Additionally, if you also suffer from sweaty hands, we recommend you to find a way to make some iontophoresis machines.
There are also people with sweat who pour more than others, even though they are in the same situation and weather. Yes, sometimes the amount of sweat produced by some people’s bodies may seem unusual, even exceeding the amount of normal sweat in general.
This usually happens even if you are not in hot weather, or after heavy physical activity. In the medical world, this condition is called hyperhidrosis, which makes sweat run down on the body for no apparent reason.
Hyperhidrosis can occur in any part of the body, including the nose. If this is the case for you, the following can be a cause of sweaty nose:
1. Primary hyperhidrosis
Most cases of hyperhidrosis are not clearly identified, known as primary hyperhidrosis. Primary hyperhidrosis usually begins at the age of children, with the location of excessive sweating in the face, head, armpits, hands, and feet.
2. Secondary hyperhidrosis
In contrast to primary hyperhidrosis, secondary hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating throughout the body caused by side effects of medications and certain medical conditions.
For example, heart disease, lung disease, cancer, obesity, adrenal gland damage, excess thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism), menopause, diabetes, to too much consumption of antidepressant drugs. This type of hyperhidrosis is more commonly experienced by adults.
As mentioned before, it is normal for small amounts of sweat to appear on the nose. It’s just that, if it turns out you are very easy to sweat, even sweat in the body always appears in excessive amounts, this might be a sign you have hyperhidrosis.
